The Watermelon Band is a unique 6-12 piece band dedicated to performing American music from 1920s to this day. Jazz, Funk, Rock, Pop, Soul, Motown, Disco, R&B, Big Band, Broadway, Contemporary, 50-60s. Since most of the musicians performing in this band are also part of our other bands, such as David Glukh International Ensemble and Manhattan Soloists, our repertoire is also enhanced by classical music, various folk/world music from around the world ( Klezmer, Irish, Flamenco, German, Bulgarian, Romanian, Polish, Country Fiddling, Hungarian, French, Macedonian, Greek, Italian, Gypsy, Turkish, Bluegrass, Middle-Eastern, Chinese, Russian, Ukrainian, Moldovan, Indian, Armenian, Georgian, Japanese, Korean, Latin, Brazilian, Tango etc.) and our own improvisatory world fusion compositions.
